A portrait a week, every week, in 2013
Gary.
This week’s (late) portrait is my sister’s boyfriend Gary. G-Dog, Gaz and Gok Lawson are just some of the nick-names this poor guy answers to (or puts up with) while living under our roof. He is always on hand for some last minute fashion advice, tells funny jokes, tries really hard not to be sarcastic when we’re watching tv and can carry a pretty good tune. After 8 years Gary has become an all but card-carrying member of our family, a fact which we are pretty smitten with…though I’m not sure he would always be so inclined to agree! Most importantly of all though he makes my sister very, very happy.

ReplyDeleteWow. When someone has been around that long, he's definitely part of the family. He's definitely a good sport for tolerating all those nicknames. :) And he certainly wouldn't otherwise if he didn't love your sister. He sounds like a lucky guy--to be with your sister and be a part of your family.
