Yesterday I wore a dress, no tights and pretty much no shoes all day long. It felt amazing and surreal. We ran across sand, splashed in the sea and basked in the sun on a friend’s trampoline. Today I am wearing jeans and layers and watching the rain from inside. The weather is so fickle in Ireland and despite my twenty two years here it still baffles me that one day can be sunny and the next grey and rainy.
The latter is probably better as I have so much college work to get through!

Oooh, those flowers are so pretty! Most of our early blooming flowers here are done--the daffodils, the tulips. Soon, the longer-lasting blooms will be popping up. And, like you, we've gotten rain for the last few days. I know things will be verdant and green soon, but sometimes you really do just want to be outside, breathing the fresh air and drinking in the short, mild season.
ReplyDeleteOur spring and summer kind of just mush together…it’s rare that we get hot hot summers for days on end. Ireland is so changeable! But we verrry much enjoyed the few sunny days we had last week…it lashed rain yesterday!!
